Nebbiolo season opens with something we have never done before: six back-vintage Barolos from Elio Sandri, the quiet traditionalist of Cascina Disa in Perno, Monforte d'Alba, poured side by side from 2010 to 2018. One vineyard, one grape, one producer through time, with the Perno Riserva and the exceptionally rare Perno Vigna Disa Riserva among them, and lasagne and cheeses to close the evening.
