Feral began with a focus on inclusivity and discovery, creating botanical beverages for those choosing to abstain from alcohol. Meet Maddalena: The Visionary Behind Feral
Maddalena, affectionately known as Madda, is the bold spirit and founder driving Feral’s journey. Born in Trento, she built a successful career in multinational companies across Europe before embracing a powerful urge to reconnect with nature and slow down. In 2020, Madda returned to her roots—literally—spending time in a remote mountain hut where the seed for Feral was planted.
Driven by a restless creativity and a desire to challenge the polished, Instagram-ready world of gastronomy, Maddalena envisioned a drink that is wild, imperfect, and unapologetically different. Her mission: to revive forgotten ingredients like beetroot and craft fermented botanical beverages that break patterns, question norms, and celebrate authenticity around the table— alcohol free.
Under her leadership, Feral grew from a team of three to ten, navigating a market slowly warming to alcohol-free products with curiosity and passion. Maddalena emphasises the harmony of science, gastronomy, and heart, cultivating friendships with local winemakers and pushing boundaries from their fermenteria in Trentino. For Maddalena, Feral embodies freedom, exploration, and the joy of embracing the wild side in every sip.
