Marco Zanoni: Mr Precision.
Lavis – Maso Furli represents one of the smallest vine growers in the region of Trentino, with the term “Maso” indicating a rural house with its surrounding land. This azienda agricola produces between 15,000 and 17,000 bottles a year, obtained from 4 hectares of vineyards at an altitude that ranges between 290 mt asl and 440 mt asl. In 2002, the owner Marco Zanoni, managed for the first time to press white grapes in total absence of oxygen using more affordable techniques that enables the winemaker to preserve freshness and fruit flavour. Such method was eventually honoured a brevet with the help of his friend Mario Pojer. This marked an important step in wine-making since it can now be taken on board by medium and even small wineries.
