Luca heads west for an evening on one of Italy's most quietly extraordinary wine regions. Valtellina. Join him at The...
Chef Mark Hix. Wine guru Luca Dusi. Fourteen seats. One private dining room in Shoreditch.
Mark Hix is one of the most decorated names in British cooking — the man largely credited with putting modern British cuisine on the map. Over a career spanning four decades, he served as chef-director at some of London’s most iconic tables: The Ivy, Le Caprice, Scott’s. He then built his own acclaimed restaurant group, with Tramshed and Hix Oyster & Chop House becoming institutions of their own. More recently, he returned to London as Director of Food & Beverage at The Groucho Club — a role that felt, in his own words, like coming home. And now, when he’s not in the city, he’s at his home in Charmouth, Dorset, hosting intimate dinners at his kitchen island — six courses, local producers, proper conversation, no fuss. Private, personal, unrepeatable.
Luca Dusi has spent over two decades building one of the most interesting Italian wine operations in the UK — sourcing directly from small, independent producers across every corner of Italy who few people in this country had ever heard of, and making them impossible to ignore. A born storyteller, his passion for artisanal Italian wine is contagious — and it took him from his Shoreditch and Exmouth Market wine bars to Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, where he does what he always does: walks into a room full of sceptics and walks out leaving believers. One glass at a time. In London, there is no one quite like him.
That’s the spirit they’re both bringing to Shoreditch.
For one night, Mark takes over our private dining room on Leonard Street. Five courses, seasonal, ingredient-led, championing the best of British. Wines poured by Luca, championing the best of Italy. Two people at the very top of their fields, in one room, for fourteen guests.
£250 per person. All in.
This is a recurring series, and seats are limited at every date. If you’ve been thinking about it, now is the time.
Seats will go. Don’t be the person who missed it.
This is not a restaurant dinner. It's not a pop-up. It's the event.
